Biography Bollywood actress Tabu

Tabu born on November 4, 1970 is an Indian film actress. She has mainly acted in Hindi films, though she has also starred in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali language films, as well as one American film. She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, and she holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare's Critics Award for Best Female Performer, with four.

She went to St. Anns high school in Hyderabad. Tabu moved to Mumbai in 1983 and studied at St. Xavier's College for two years. She is the niece of Shabana Azmi and the younger sister of actress Farah Naaz. She has homes in Mumbai and Hyderabad

In Gulzar’s Machis, she depicted the agony of citizens of Punjab, who were the victims of terrorist attacks during the period when there was unrest in the state. Chandrachur Singh and Om Puri also provided realistic performance in the state.

She was sublime in the film Tarqieb, where she was killed and there was no evidence to prove the guilt of the offender. She was the friend of Shilpa Shetty and she was also interrogated about her experience with her friend. Nana Patekar did the enquiry and used a number of witnesses to establish the murder and unveil the truth.

In a film Cheeni Kum opposite Big B, which had a peculiar story line of a 60-plus aged person having an affair with a middle aged woman. It happens in certain cases, and Tabu had provided adequate feelings in her role.

She was brilliant in Chachi 420, opposite Kamal Hassan, where her father Amrish Puri, disliked her husband and Kamal Hassan had to play the role of a chachi, who was a cook in her house and in that way both of them lived together. She also had a daughter whom both her husband and herself loved a lot. The film had very powerful performance from the character actors like Om Puri and Paresh Rawal.

She had done well in the comedy film Biwi No.1, opposite Anil Kapoor, where his friend, Salman Khan had entered into extra-marital affair, and both Tabu and Anil Kapoor, had helped Karishma Kapoor, the wife of Salman Khan in the film to get back her husband and leave Susmita Sen, who created all the problems.

Tabu had shown her comedy skills in an adequate manner. She also did well in the film Hera Pheri opposite Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar,where she used all the unfair means possible to get a job.

Tabu had used both her glamour and acting capability in the films that she acted in which includes Border, Astitva, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, Virasat (1997), Hu Tu Tu (1999), Astitva (2000), Chandni Bar (2001) and Maqbool (2003) etc.

The Biography-Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty was nominated for her first film Baazigar, she delivered another blockbuster hit Main Khiladi Tu Anari co-starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.

However, the proceeding years her movies failed to succeed at the box office though she did receive critical acclaim for some of her performances.

Then in 1998, Pardesi Babu got released and people noticed her again. Two years after that she finally delivered a super hit, Dhadkan.

Since then her career took an up turn. In 2002, she had several releases and films like Hathyar and Rishtey solidified her status as a brilliant actress. In Rishtey she stole the show from superstars Anil Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor.

However, it was in 2004 that her performance in Phir Milenge brought her to the top actress list.

In 2005, she delivered modest hits like Fareb (where she costarred with sister Shamita Shetty and Manoj Bajpai) and Dus.

Though she has worked with top actors, unlike many bollywood actresses who are either scared of or shy away from working with top actresses, shilpa has worked with numerous talented actresses (such as Juhi Chawla, Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, Tabu, Kajol, Mahima Chaudhry and Konkona Sen Sharma) and is said to share a great rapport with her co stars.

Versatile Performer
Today her career boasts of her versatility. In Baazigar she played a naive college student, in Aag a charming village girl, in 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari' a street dancer, in Himmat a seductive cop, in Dus an anti-terrorist agent, in Fareb a doctor and housewife, in Phir Milenge an HIV positive, in Pardesi Babu a charming city lass, in Dhadkan she is forced to betray her lover, in Khamosh a prostitute, in Jung a sensational club dancer, in Tarkieb a promiscuous military nurse, in Rishtey a comical and tragic performance as a fisherwoman, in Darna Mana Hai a housewife haunted by apples and in 'Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar' a negative role where she plays a model turned housewife.

Revival
In 2000, Shilpa reinvented herself and became known as one of the hottest actresses in the industry! She is the only bollywood actress who has been seen to do a split on screen and is known today to have the best body in bollywood. She is also recognized as a graceful dancer.

Shilpa went to school at St. Anthony's Girl's convent in Chembur then she went to Podar College. Shilpa was her school team's baseball captain. She is a black belt Karate champion. She actively participated in her father's chemical business. Acting happened by chance for her.

Shilpa is known to have a great sense of humor and has the capacity to crack jokes on herself. She previously dated Akshay Kumar but the couple broke up in 2000. Currently, she is seeing a London-based NRI Raj Kundra.Shilpa's upcoming films are Desire and The Man.
