Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat was born as Reema Lamba in Karnal, Haryana and adopted the screen name Mallika to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema. Sherawat is her mother's maiden name. Mallika has studied Indian philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University and was a part time air-hostess married to Jet Airways pilot Captain Karan Singh Gill .



She later on divorced him to pursue her Bollywood dreams.She did her debut with Lak Tunoo, a music video by Surjit Bindrakhia but it was her movie Khwahish that got heads turning. Then Mallika Sherawatdid the film Murder inspired by Hollywood's Unfaithful and received a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards.

Mallika Sherawat expresses her opinions firmly in public and is currently after Hollywood titles. Her stint with Hollywood began with a small role in Jackie Chan's movie, The Myth followed by a widely publicized appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote The Myth. However, 2007 movie Welcome was her last release at the box office.

Mallika would now be seen in a Hollywood film named Hisss starring Irrfan Khan and directed by Jennifer Lynch. Mallika is now staying in Los Angeles. Mallika Sherawat has been voted as one of Asia's 100 most beautiful people by the Hong Kong based fashion and beauty magazine, Cover.

Bipasha Basu Biography

Bipasha Basu hails from a Bengali family at New Delhi. Later, her family shifted to Kolkata where she won regional beauty contest at a very young age, she was just 17. Bipasa Basu is the second of three sisters. Her elder sister name is Bidisha and her younger sister name is Bijyota.



Modeling and acting has come to Bipasa Basu purely by chance. She had planned to be a Chartered Accountant after her graduation but in the meanwhile she won Ford super model contest and entered the world of modeling. She was also listed as sexiest woman of Asia along with fellow stars Mallika Sherawat and Aishwarya Rai.

After she established herself as a model, Bipasha did the famous video 'Tu Meri Mehbooba' for Sonu Nigam's album, 'Kismat', which became very popular.

This coffee-colour actress made her debut in Bollywood with the film "Ajanbi". Thereafter she did a number of movies but her performance in "Raj" opposite Dino Morea was more appreciated.

Next was erotic thriller "Jism" opposite john Abrahm, in which she played the role of a sexy wife of a middle-aged industrialist. She portrayed the character splendidly and became recognizable in Bollywood as sexy actress.

Bipasha Basu gave sterling performance in a number of films such as, "No Entry", "Barsaat, "Shikhar" and "Apaharan".

Her performance in "Corporate" directed by Madhur Bhandarkar won her a lot of critical acclaim. She was involved with co-actor and model Dino Morea and now Bipasha has live-in relationship with actor John Abraham, whom she started dating since 2002.

Currently, she is engaged in many projects and her upcoming films are Pankh and Lamhe. Her recent hit Aa Dekhe Zaara has received mixed reviews.
