Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor often referred to as Bebo, is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. During her career, Kapoor has received five Filmfare Awards and has been noted for her performances in a range of film genres; these include her work from contemporary romantic dramas to comedies, period films to major Bollywood productions, as well as less publicized independent films.

Kareena KapoorThe hot actress was born on September 21, 1977 in Mumbai India. She is the youngest daughter of Punjabi Randhir Kapoor, an actor Babitha, a Sindhi. Her parents separated when she was quite young. Her older sister is Karisma Kapoor, an actress. She is the granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor, and niece of actor Rishi Kapoor. According to Kapoor, the name "Kareena" was derived from the book Anna Karenina, which her mother read while she was pregnant with her. Her family tree reads like the who’s who of Bollywood.

Kareena faced the media spotlight from a very young age, but did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, became India's highest-grossing film in the overseas market in 2001, and is one of her biggest commercial successes to date. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career and she was later noted for her performances in the critically acclaimed Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006). Kareena Kapoor, still fresh from the success of her recent releases, is all smiles.

At twenty- eight, her life’s getting even better, both on the acting front. She was dating Shahid Kapoor since 2004 but they broke up and now dating actor Saif Ali Khan. n a 2009 poll conducted by the newspaper DNA, she was voted as one of India's most popular icons. According to the UK magazine Eastern Eye, Kapoor was ranked fourth in the list of "Asia's Sexiest Women" in 2009; she had been previously ranked eighth in 2007 and third in 2008. She became the only actress to be featured on CNN Go's list of "Who Mattered Most in India" and was described as "India's Most Beautiful Woman" by People in 2010.

In July 2010, Kapoor was placed eighth in Filmfare Magazine's annual power list, an achievement she repeated from the previous year, where she was ranked at number ten. Today, Kareena is considered as one of the most popular Bollywood celebrities in India. Her look and performances have established her as a style icon for young girls and women.

Prachi Desai

The small screen actress took no time to acquire the B-town fame Prachi Desai was born on 12 September 1988. Prachi is best known for her role as ‘Bani Walia’ in the Hindi television drama Kasamh Se which aired on Zee TV.

Prachi Desai is the spokesperson, brand ambassador endorser and the face of Neutrogena products in India.Studied at St Joseph Convent, Panchgani, Prachi then completed her schooling till 9th grade in Surat. For her higher studies she went to Pune.

Prachi DesaiPrachi Desai’s first film as a Bollywood actress was Rock On!! Opposite Farhan Akhtar. Prachi had to leave her very successful role of "Bani" in Kasam Se to act in Rock On.

She was also seen in films like Life Partner, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, a film to be released in mid 2010. It stars Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut.

Prachi Desai has just recently roped in the Bollywood remake of the American novel The Great Gatsby, and will star in an ensemble cast featuring the heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, the very sensational Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor, Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan and the very cute chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor.

The principal photography is salted to begin May 2010. For Prachi acting was her passion since childhood. Joker which is her upcoming flick with co-star Rajeev Khandelwal is expected to be released in 2010.

Bindiya Goswami

Bindiya Goswami was born on 8th August, 1961. Bindiya was a Bollywood actress who acted in Hindi films from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Bindiya Goswami was discovered when she was just fourteen years old by superstar Hema Malini's mother at a party who felt that there was a resemblance to Hema and recommended her to film producers.

Bindiya's first Hindi film was "Jeevan Jyothi" where she co-starred with Vijay Arora whose career was on the decline, and the film flopped. Bindiya Goswami forged on ahead and soon became a success starring for director Basu Chatterjee in Khatta Meetha (1977) and Prem Vivah (1979).

has taken up designing costumes for female stars such as Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor for her husband J.P. Dutta's films, such as Border(1997), Refugee (2000) and LOC Kargil (2003).However, her biggest hit was for director Hrishikesh Mukherjee in the comedy Golmaal (1979). That film's success led her to take Hema Malini's place in the big-budget film Shaan (1980), because Hema was busy with her other film commitments.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor had a dream debut with Refugee. Though the movie was not a major hit, her performance was well received.

The actress made news in 2008 for her break up with Shahid Kapoor, her relationship with Saif Ali Khan and her size zero figure.

In 2009, she has been in the news for her role in Kambakhht Ishq. She is acting with Akshay Kumar in Kambakht Ishq and they make a great onscreen couple. The Kambakht Ishq wallpapers have promoted her in a big way.

Aarti Chhabria joins the ranks of the numerous models who have tried their luck in cinema. Aarti Chhabria was born on 21st November 1982 in India. She grew up as part of a Sindhi family that was uninvolved in the glamour industry.

Aarti worked in several ads like Krack Cream and Amul and appeared in music videos like Sukhwinder Singh’s ‘Nasha Hi Nasha’ and Adnan Sami’s ‘Tera Chehra’.

Aarti Chhabria won the Miss India crown in the year 1999. Aarti Chhabria’s first appearance on the big screen was with Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lajja (2001) as Sushma, Gajendra’s daughter. This was followed by performances in Awaara Paagal Deewana (2002), Shaadi No.1 (2005) and Teesri Aankh (2006).

Saif Ali Khan- The Biography

Saif Ali Khan is the son of the famous couple Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, former captain of Indian cricket team, and Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore. He studied in Lawrence School and attended Lockers Park Prep School. Later, he followed in his father`s footsteps by attending Winchester College, a famous independent school for boys in UK.

He hails from the family of the Nawabs of Pataudi.

But surprisingly, he choose his mother's profession and debuted in 1993 in ‘Aashik Awara’ and gave another average movie ‘Parampara’. The very next year he starred in the hit ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anar’i. After this, his career graph remained unnoticed until the very popular ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, where he got his successful turn. Since then he has gone on to prove himself as an excellent actor.

He married Amrita Singh in 1991 and divorced in 2004. Since then, has been linked with Rosa Catalano, but is presently dating Kareena Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan was charged with blackbuck poaching in 1998.

His role as ‘Langda Tyagi’, the villain in ‘Omkara’, and his obsession for Kareena that shows in his ‘Kareena’ tattoo is what he is more popular for. Saif is an excellent guitarist.
Now he has turned producer too with his production company Ilumanati Films and its very first movie is Love Aaj Kal. It will star Saif opposite Deepika Padukone.

Kareena Randhir Kapoor was born on 21st September 1980 in Mumbai. Her father is the Punjabi Randhir Kapoor, an actor and her mother is the Sindhi Babitha . Her parents divorced when she was quite young. Her older sister is Karishma Kapoor, an actress. Her family tree reads like the who’s who of Bollywood. Her great grandfather is Prithviraj Kapoor and her grandfather is Raj Kapoor. Her uncles are Rishi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, while her maternal aunt is Sadhana.

Kareena did her schooling partly in Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and later in Welham’s Girls Boarding School in Dehra Dun. She was in Harvard briefly to study Information Technology and Microcomputers. On returning back to India, she studied law for a year at the Government Law College at Churchgate, after which she enrolled in Kishore Namit Acting School.

She was dating Shahid Kapoor since 2004 but they broke up just when they landed their first hit together in Jab We Met. She is now dating actor Saif Ali Khan.

She is involved in several humanitarian causes. In 2005, she joined NDTV by visiting the jawans in Rajasthan . She was part of the Marco Ricci Each One Reach One benefit concert, for World Youth Peace Summit. She donated the prize money she won in Kaun Banega Crorepathi in 2007 to St.Anthony’s Old Age Home and Mount Mary’s Bandra. In 2007, she appeared in Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai? The money she won was donated to St.Anthony’s Old Age Home.

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was supposed to be her debut but she walked out of it and instead starred with Abhishek Bacchan in J.P.Datta’s Refugee in 2000, in which she played Naaz, a Bangladeshi girl who falls in love with Refugee. This won her the Filmfare Best Debut award. In 2001, she worked with Tusshar Kapoor in Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai which was one of the successes of the year. Yaadein did not do well. Her fiery Kaurwaki act in the epic Asoka with Shah Rukh Khan won her a nomination for the Filmfare Best Actress award. Her fourth film was the multi-starrer Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in which she played the part of the haughty yet adorable Pooh. The film was her biggest commercial success. The next two years saw her in a few films like Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Khushi, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon for which the response ranged from flops to moderate successes.

Just when you thought Pooh was as far as she could go, she started experimenting by portraying different characters in her films that released in 2004 and it paid off. She stepped into the shoes of a sex worker in Chameli with Rahul Bose, earning a Filmfare Special Performance award. The other critically acclaimed film was Dev with Amitabh Bacchan, in which she played Aaliya , a victim in the communal riots in Gujarat. She won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. She played the villainous Neha Mehra in Fida. She had three releases in 2005: Bewafa, Kyun Ki" and Dosti: Friends Forever, of which the latter did well in the United Kingdom.

The year 2006 saw her in a thriller 36 China Town and a comedy Chup Chup Ke which were average performers at the box office. It was her role of Dolly in Omkara that clinched the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. The film was an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello and Dolly was based on Desdemona. She also appeared in an item number in Farhan Akhtar’s Don, which was originally done by Helen.

Imtiaz Ali’s romcom Jab We Met with Shahid Kapoor\ was a runaway hit in 2007, her portrayal of the spontaneous and fun-loving Geet was applauded. She won the Filmfare Best Actress award for that role. In 2008, she came out with Tashan with her new boyfriend Saif Ali Khan and her size zero figure but that failed to live up to the hype. She has lent her voice to Laila in the animation flick Roadside Romeo and is part of Golmaal Returns, a sequel to the comedy hit Golmaal.

Some of the films Kareena’s fans can look forward to in 2009 are Main Aur Mrs.Khanna with Salman and Sohail Khan, Kambakth Ishq with Akshay Kumar, Three Idiots with Madhavan and Aamir Khan, Milenge Milenge with Shahid Kapoor.
