The Marathi Queen Bhagyashree

Bhagyashree belongs to the family of Patwardhans from Sangli town in Maharashtra. Her father is Maharaja of Sangli. Bhagyashree Patwardhan was born on 23 February 1969 and she has acted in Bollywood films as well as for small screen.The actress started her career in acting with Kachhi Dhoop which was a television series directed by veteran actor Amol Palekar. The serial was based on Louisa Mary Alcott’s Little Women.

Her appointment with acting happened by chance when Amol Palekar requested her to perform in his serial “Kacchi Dhoop” as the heroine who had been roped on board had deserted the serial unexpectedly. The serial did quite well and later on Bhagyashree had bagged characters in Honi Anhoni and Kisse Miya Biwi Ke.The diva is best acknowledged for her character that she played in the 1989 movie Maine Pyaar Kiya with actor Salman Khan.

After getting married, she acted in three movies like Peepat's QaidMain Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia's Tyagi and Mahendra Shah's Payal all opposite her husband Himalaya.After a break of several years, the gorgeous diva made a comeback to television with Aandhi Jasbaton Ki, where she enacted the role of a politician. She was also showcased in Didi Ka Dulha, which was a comedy serial on national broadcaster Doordarshan and a telefilm where she enacts a blind person.

She made her debut in Marathi films starting off with the romantic comedy like Zhak Marli Baiko Keli in June 2009. Bhagyashree is the promoter of a media company Shrishti Entertainment with her husband. Maine Pyar Kiya, Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul, Tyaagi, Paayal, Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi, Maa Santoshi Maa, Hello Girls, etc. are some of the films that featured Bhagyashree in the lead roles.

Bhagyashree Patwardhan was born on 23 February 1969 is an Indian film and television actress. Her full name is Shrimant Rajkumari Bhagyashree Raje Patwardhan. The actress is the daughter of H.H. Meherban Shrimant Raja Vijaysinhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan.

This Bollywood star later married her childhood friend Himalay Dassani. Now she is a mother of three growing children. The actress started her acting career with "Kachhi Dhoop" - a t.v. serial by Amol Palekar. The serial was based on Lousia Mary Alcott's "Little Women".

Her acting happened by chance when Amol Palekar, a renowned actor director, requested Bhagyashree to step in and act in his serial Kacchi Dhup as the actress who had been signed on had abandoned the serial abruptly. The serial did well and later on she had roles in Honi Anhoni and Kisse Miya Biwi Ke.

The actress shot in fame with the super hit film Maine Pyaar Kiya opposite Salman Khan. After marriage she acted in three movies- Peepat's Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia's Tyagi and Mahendra Shah's Payal all opposite her husband Himalaya. But after a gap of many years, Bhagyashree did made a comeback with 'Aandhi Jasbaton Ki', small screen serial where she played the character of a politician.

Her Movie Maine Pyaar Kiya was a super hit with Salman Khan. She soon got married and after that she acted in three movies: Peepat's Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Yes , that is true that her husband Himalaya Dasani as well as Bhagyashree had decided that after marriage Bhagyashree will act only in those movies which will have her husband opposite to her. However all these movies sank without a trace. Then came a gap in career for the actress.

Bhagyashree eventually made a comeback after a gap of few years and this time round it was back to television with 'Aandhi Jasbaton Ki' where she plays a politician. The actress was also seen on Doordarshan’s serial Didi Ka Dulha, a comedy serial. She made her debut in Marathi films with romantic comedy 'Zhak Marli Baiko Keli' in June 2009

She is the promoter of a media company called "Shrishti Entertainment" with joint promoter with her husband. Bhagyashree was born on 23 February 1969 and hails from the family of Patwardhans from Maharashtra. The actress has now got three children also.
