WILD CHILD - Speedlife O' Mind

WILD CHILD Speedlife O' Mind mini lp 1982 wav
She Drives Me Insane / Hare And Love / Dusty Friends / Modern People / I Don't Care / Speedlife O' Mind.
Produced by J. L. Lyan
Wild Child : Leeroy Stanner : guitars / Little Jim : vocals, harmonica / Iv B. Dog : bass, vocals / Richard : drums, percussions, vocals.
A hidden treasure ! That's raw , savaaage ... the Stooges meets the Doors !
Wild child was a french combo ... They came from Marseille to burn Paris !
After a single "Stooge face" they recorded this mini lp "Speedlife O'mind" in 1982 ! This is pure Stooges stuff , directly from the Fun House !!!
Take it ... you won't regret it !
Source

BIJOU - Lola

SINGLES BIJOU Lola/Passage souterrain sp 1989 wav
Dynamite sortira un mini lp "Rockin' all over the world " sur le label Romance dont J. W. Thoury s'occupa.
(Buy it here)

Produced par J. W. Thoury.
Bijou : P. Dauga : bass & vocals / V. Palmer : guitar & vocals / D. Yan : drums & vocals.

Bijou : P. Dauga : bass & vocals / V. Palmer : guitar & vocals / D. Yan : drums & vocals.

Fresh Car Designs from the Tokyo Auto Show

Here are some really fascinating fresh car designs from the just concluded Tokyo Auto Show. They are so breathtaking that it'll make you wonder what we can expect in the near future.

First off is the Skydeck's seats that are exclusively constructed from wood and mesh to make passengers feel cool as they drive.

Honda did bring the Skydeck to the show which was a rather futuristic looking six-seat hybrid vehicle.

Also we had the Honda's EV-N which was a tiny retro-looking electric vehicle that has an inbuilt power-producing solar panel on its roof. This vehicle also has a place to store your Honda U3-X scooter in it!!

Yamaha also had a new concept electric scooter called the EC-1. It is part of Yamaha's strategy to move beyond its core market of motorcycle with fun and personal vehicles.

Daihatsu also showed off its concept called "Deca Deca". The van's big cabin has
doors that open up to an amazing 135 degrees and a center pillar-less body.

Finally Nokia launches the much awaited N97 mini

Yes - the wait and the endless rumors seem to be true after all. As Nokia launched the much awaited N97 mini over this weekend in London. The N97 Mini looks almost the same as the big brother N97 in design. The N97 Mini comes with an impressive 3.2 inch touch screen along with a full QWERTY keyboard which slides open as the N97, an internal 8GB of storage on board and all this on a 14.2 mm thickness. Now that's cool isn't it?

The just launched Ovi Maps 3.0 is going to be an important part of the all new Nokia N97 mini. Ovi Maps 3.0 will support street level / satellite level as well as terrain level maps in both 2D and 3D formats for the users - now that's going to challenge the Google maps offering on the Android platform. Ovi Maps will also allow users to search for their favorite pizza joints or coffee bars and also search for address from the comfort of their N97 Mini. The integrated A-GPS along with compass seems to be a nice add-on which is surely going to be useful.

Nokia claims that the N97 mini can last upto 12 days of standby time and also upto 28 hours music playback when it is put in offline mode. The N97 mini comes with a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens 5-megapixel camera which sports a dual LED flash and also video light.

BIJOU - Bijou Bop

BIJOU Bijou Bop lp 1981 320 kbps/flac
Bijou Bop / Au nom de l'amour / Les gens parlent / J'aime pas / Tu me manques B.B. / Lisa-Maria / Qu'on me foute la paix / Mauvais garçon / Chacun pour soi / Tout me fait rire / Ma D.S. / Sourire d'ange .
Produced par J. W. Thoury.
Bijou : P. Dauga : bass & vocals / V. Palmer : guitar & vocals / D. Yan : drums & vocals.

BITHAMMER! : Manga mongo / High and mighty THE KWYET KINGS : Kimberly Clarke / Upside down / Can't hurry love / Radiated by your charm / Lonely boy THE BITTERSWEETS : Good looks / I surrender / Anything from you / Colour of day THE KWYET KINGS : Talking on the phone / Candygirl / Second thoughts / Twisting my nerves / Need my lovin' tonight / Number one LUST-O-RAMA : (Can 't do) Another mistake / I'm down THE COSMIC DROPOUTS : It's gonna rain / Let's go to the beach THE JOYFUL TEARS : The way it is.
Japanese import, 22 song comp from Arne Thelin who was the leader of a long list of really cool bands, our favorite one being The Kwyet Kings, whose songs dominate this collection, but he also was in the very Shambles/Barracudas like band, The Lust-O-Rama and Bittersweets. The material from Kwyet Kings is full of pistol whipping Plimsouls/Moberlys styled energy and nifty guitar work and vocals, a fast `n fresh distillation of power pop that nails the spirit of the above bands dead on and survives the act of nostalgia w/ease. The other bands are hard `n fast versions of garage bands like aforementioned Shambles, Chesterfield Kings and the fab great Barracudas. If you like a bit of buzz and power with your pop with a rootsy 60`s edge, this one is Extremely Highly Recommended! Notlame

SOME ACTION - EP

SOME ACTION EP cd 2004 320 kbps
Drawing Blood / Hurt Tonight / Gotta Know / Pillow Talk / Some Action.
Produced by C. Zane.
Some Action : I. Magee : vocals / E. Campbell : vocals, guitar / J. Gatlang : bass / Z. Shaw : drums.
Broken bottles, broken instruments, broken bones, broken hearts -- the only thing Some Action might ever fix is rock and roll. They're outlaws in a city where dancing and smoking are illegal, outcasts in a genre where style shines over substance and outnumbered by faux fashion bands full of retro rockers. And yet, here they are: the kids have spoken, the beer has been spilled, many of us have been waiting for this but few are prepared. The tale of Some Action's formation is byzantine and boozy, but all members escaped their own version of suburban hell to make big, rotten noise in the Big Rotten Apple. Guitarist E. Campbell learned what it meant to 'live free or die' in New Hampshire while it was more of a 'skate or die' situation for bassist J. Gatland in Long Island. Singer I. Magee came to town via the streets of Baltimore while drummer Z. Shaw headed downstate from the rock star retirement home of Woodstock. After a few introductions and more than a few drinks, the band suddenly found itself blazing a path of rock and roll desctruction from depths of dive bars to the velvet ropes of VIP rooms. With explosive and unpredictable live shows, Some Action quickly built a buzz that rivals most inhalant benders. Besides numerous shows with their good friends in The Star Spangles, the band has played alongside The Weirdos, 999, Detroit Cobras, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Little Killers and The Witnesses, to name a few. Like a vodka shot down the wrong pipe, seeing Some Action live is an intense and intoxicating experience. Hook-heavy punk rock is delivered at top volume and velocity without a hint of jaded cynicism or plastic posing. These are the two-minute blasts of sugar and sandpaper - get your rehearsed rock histrionics elsewhere and don't bother sending us the bill for the damages. The microphone swings dangerously close your face - oh wait, that's not a microphone - while you're staring at all the splinters coming from behind the drums, wondering if a wall is collapsing. Ears pinned between blaring amplifiers, you can start to hear the punk spirit of 70's NYC resonate from three decades away. In the summer of 2003 - two years after forming - Some Action released a debut EP : five songs and several dozen cases of beer later, the group had finally captured the essence of a sound displaced by time and money: authentic rock and roll with no retro pretense. In fact, listeners report having more fun listening to the record than having sex, which either means that New York's more dead than we thought, or that Some Action is actually living up to its name.
